DJ Steve Wilkinson (DJ Toxxic)
Born in Phila (Delco) then moved to Collegeville in 1979.
I started playing records on Moms Stereo at age 4! music has been in my family for generations..I bought my first 45 Rpm record in 1976 and got my first record player for Christmas. I took interest in being a DJ at age 16 after going to my first Club for teen night (EONS in graterford) I loved watching the DJ’s work the 12′s!!
At Pulsations, I would watch Steve Singer and Jeff Rice spin each and every week. I can pretty much say, they taught me how to spin!
I bought my first 1200s at age 18 and started out by doing dances for my sisters school in Collegeville.
My first public appearance was at The Washington Inn (Bectelsville, Pa) I was the backup DJ In the late 90s i started working or a sound company in which i got my exposure to many different Venues.
(The Lagoon, Brownies 23east, Barnabys (all locations), The Ridge in Limerick, Pa where I met who is now the owner of The Brickhouse in Pottstown!
February 2010 I was made the Friday Resident DJ at the Brickhouse and am still there to present.
I specialize in Spinning High energy Top40 Dance and house!! but also im very good at being versatile.
I have always been well liked for the music i play..my Motto is “I play what they want to hear” I stick with what is known on the radio and that is what my clientelle likes about me.
I also had an Internet Radio show “Pure Radio.fm” which is no more..It was in London, and i sent 2 hour mixshows of House each and every week, til after 3 months, the station closed.
To this day, you’ll find me at Chickies N Petes every Thursday (Audubon, The Brickhouse on Fridays, and Saturdays I still fill-in to stay busy with the DJ company that got me started..
